Ventura County airport officials are bewildered at their failure to persuade airlines to expand commuter service at Oxnard Airport, but a consultant lays the blame on major carriers for blocking growth.
Utah-based Skywest Airlines contracts with Chicago-based United Airlines to offer the only commuter service from Oxnard Airport. Under the name United Express, the company offers eight daily flights to and from Los Angeles International Airport.
