Arabian horses are showing off at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds this weekend.
Developed by Arabs for use in the deserts of the Middle East, the breed is known for its beauty and intelligence.
``It's also very loving and family-oriented - very eager to please,'' said Brenda Lachman, who owns eight. ``I find it to be the most intelligent horse and most cooperative with human beings.''
More than 120 of them from across Southern California and Nevada are entered in the Antelope Valley Arabian Horse Association's 17th annual show, which is open to the public.
