As Wisconsin junior running back Ron Dayne continues to prepare for the biggest football game of his career, he is content knowing that one of his life's biggest decisions has already been made.
The decision is this: Dayne, who has rushed for 4,845 yards in three seasons (including bowl games), is staying in school for one more year. He won't be turning pro and he has no regrets.
While he had been expected to make no announcement until after Friday's Rose Bowl, Dayne felt getting it out of the way early would take some pressure off and allow him to get prepared for UCLA. It will also give him some time to visit family ...
