Ayke Agus figured the best way to introduce herself to the Antelope Valley would be to perform a concert.
For 15 years, Agus was the accompanist for renowned violinist Jascha Heifetz.
``When I teach, I try to pass on the Heifetz tradition - the art of life and living as a musician,'' Agus said.
Now Agus, a violinist and pianist, is a part-time instructor at Antelope Valley College. To drum up interest in her teaching, Agus will perform a free recital at 2 p.m. Feb. 9 in room 334 at the college, 3041 W. Ave. K.
