Jo'Sean Lyles' hitting philosophy is chillingly simple: ``If the pitcher gets it over the plate, sorry.''
Lyles, a three-year standout catcher from Quartz Hill High School, will be among the top baseball players competing in the Larry Lake High School Senior All-Star baseball game at The Hangar in Lancaster on Sunday at 3 p.m.
For most of the past three years, Golden League pitchers were sorry they had to face Lyles.
Dave Stradling, the Quartz Hill coach, who will also manage Lyles in Sunday's game, recalled Lyles' best game of the season, a two-home run afternoon at Palmdale.
