Of all the returners to Antelope Valley High School's football team, none will be welcomed back more than coach Brent Newcomb.
Newcomb, who's been the head coach for 20 years at Antelope Valley and a coach at the school for 29 years, will be back on the sideline at Mays Field after suffering a heart attack two months ago.
Newcomb said he cut back on his schedule during the recently completed spring drills but was still able to attend practices.
``I saw my cardiologist on May 30 and he said I'm doing good,'' Newcomb said. ``I'm walking a mile and a half a day. In practice, I'm just taking ...
