With the encouragement of their head coach, Woodland Hills Little Leaguers fought back tears and held their heads high Friday as they lined up to give congratulatory hand slaps to their jubilant rivals from Thousand Oaks.

In the eyes of their coaches, the kids had abided by their Little League pledge of fighting hard to win and doing their very best.

Thousand Oaks won the sectional matchup against Woodland Hills 7-3, allowing the team to advance to the Division Tournament today in La Puente.
