His father's fall from grace sent Jay Bakker to drugs and alcohol. Now the 21-year-old son of Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker has come full circle, running a ministry of his own.
But Jay Bakker does not rely on television and a theme park like his father. Instead, he said he reaches out to the ``skateboard, hippie, punk rock, hard-core crowd, gay kids and anyone who doesn't fit into the churchgoing stereotype.''
After his televangelist father went to prison and his mother filed for divorce, Bakker quit school and turned to drugs and alcohol, he said.
