INDIAN WELLS, Calif. _ Tim Henman sat in the locker room early Saturday afternoon watching and wondering: Is there anyone who can stop Lleyton Hewitt?
Certainly not Pete Sampras, who submitted to the wind and Hewitt's forehand in losing, 6-2, 6-4, in the semifinals of the Pacific Life Open. Not Thomas Enqvist, Jan-Michael Gambill or Andrei Pavel, who all tried stopping the No.1 player this week.
Not even a rejuvenated Andre Agassi could put the brakes on Hewitt, the U.S. Open champion, in the final at San Jose two weeks ago. About the only thing that has slowed the 21-year-old Aussie lately has been the chicken pox.
