This community's decades-old struggle to get its own ZIP code may end in a compromise that would transfer residents to a different postal zone in Ventura County.
At a meeting Wednesday with Rep. Brad Sherman, the U.S. Postal Service again refused to create a ZIP code for Oak Park, a Ventura County community that shares its five-digit code with a portion of Los Angeles County, including neighboring Agoura Hills.
However, officials agreed to consider changing Oak Park's ZIP code from 91301 - used in Los Angeles County - to one of three codes used only in Ventura County: 91362 in Thousand Oaks, or ...
