IT doesn't take a genius to understand why so many of us skip the voting booth in Los Angeles when it comes to local elections. In Los Angeles, your best bet is to pay no attention to City Hall, and we stay away from it if we can. We are fast-moving doers in L.A., and dealing with City Hall is like getting your head stuck in a hole with no bottom.
We just pretend City Hall doesn't exist. Los Angeles is a city of closed, detached local government that does just about everything behind closed doors.
