``The Lost World'' is a prime example of a peculiar '90s anomaly: the blockbuster nobody loves.
Despite the rush in some quarters of Hollywood to dismiss ``The Lost World'' as a box-office disappointment because it failed to live up to expectations, the film is clearly a blockbuster. This extremely profitable Steven Spielberg sequel to ``Jurassic Park,'' itself the top box-office draw of the decade, is the first film to ever make $100 million in five days, taking in a record-setting $92 million in its first weekend.
That kind of box-office stampede could easily lead you to believe people loved it, ...
