Last weekend, Sylmar High School football coach Jeff Engilman sat in the City Section seeding meeting as a voting member.
A proposal was presented: a swap of No. 13-seed Canoga Park with No. 14 Washington for the first round of the playoffs. If nothing else, it would ensure that Engilman's Spartans wouldn't have to play the Hunters, fellow members of the Valley Pac-8 Conference.
``I said, `Hey, that's great, no problem,' '' Engilman said. ``We slaughtered Washington and played our closest game with Canoga Park. Go ahead and move it.''
