My reaction to the Warren Moon case is that every such situation is different, every family has a right to pursue its problems in its own way, and no one should be forced to serve against their will as a symbol for any cause, however important it may be. I think more attention should be paid to the case involving Cortez Kennedy of the Seattle Seahawks, who blew off a counseling program on domestic abuse and now could face a jail sentence and a fine. Guys like Kennedy screw up but just can't admit it. Guys like Moon at least have the class to seek guidance and forgiveness. . . .
