Eventually, like 19 other opponents, the Huntington Park High School basketball team wore down. But for Canoga Park, there's just one more obstacle to its dream season.
The third-seeded Hunters actually found themselves behind at halftime to a clutch-shooting, crisp-passing Huntington Park team.
But the Spartans (14-11) ran out of gas in the third quarter and Canoga Park used 10 fourth-quarter points by Jamal Haqq to pull away and advance to the City Section 3-A title game with a 79-59 win Friday night at Cal State L.A.
