After coordinated operations Wednesday, Israeli and Palestinian security forces said they had smashed the Hamas terror cells that carried out three of the four most recent suicide bombings in Israel and had arrested an Israeli Arab instrumental in the fourth.
Working closely with Israelis in an unprecedented offensive against Islamic militants, Palestinian forces arrested midlevel Hamas operatives, confiscated weapons and shut institutions of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, another radical group, in Gaza and the West Bank.
