The general election campaign for the 36th Assembly District seat got off to a quick start Wednesday, with the Democratic candidate accusing the Republican primary winner of running a negative campaign.
Democrat David Cochran, who ran unopposed in Tuesday's primary, said the Republican victor, Lancaster Mayor George Runner, made an issue in campaign mailers of one candidate's age and another's filing for bankruptcy.
