A young Palmdale man accused in a birthday party shootout that killed one man and injured three others, including the defendant, was convicted Wednesday of voluntary manslaughter instead of murder.
The jury also convicted 22-year-old Albert Jurgen of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon with regard to the two teen-agers who were injured in the December 1995 shooting, officials said.
