LEITH'S RECIPE OF THE DAY
Pear, Apple & Walnut Crumble
Preparation time: 20 minutes. Cooking time: 45 minutes. Serves 6
THIS simple crumble recipe is delicious - and quick to make.
However, because the pears and apples are not cooked before they are baked, it cannot be prepared in advance. Make sure you serve with creme fraiche or plenty of custard.
It is possible to buy good quality readymade custard in most supermarkets these days.
