VERO BEACH, Fla. - Most every day in the last month, Adrian Beltre walked to the food table in the Dodgertown clubhouse, loaded his plate with steak, chicken, pineapple or what-have-you, pulled a jug of orange juice from the refrigerator and dined.
There was no concern about the finger he just slammed in a car door. No one joked about his contract, or whether he would be a Dodger opening day. There was no hole in his stomach.
It is just Adrian Beltre, the Dodgers third baseman.
Finally healthy and enjoying his first distraction-free spring training, Beltre seems ready to burst into the superstar ...
