Tiana Lopez is considering a career in law enforcement, so she particularly enjoyed going behind the scenes of a Ventura courtroom Wednesday to get a glimpse of the judicial end of the business.
``There's a lot of security,'' she said.
James Fox wants to be a prosecuting attorney, so he took advantage of a visit with Judge Thomas Hutchins who discussed legal issues with students. Later, he took notes during the closing arguments of a trial.
``I've never had the chance to sit and talk to a judge informally,'' he said. ``You get to find out what's going on.''
