Antelope Valley picked up a powerful tool for economic development Monday with its selection as a state enterprise zone, able to offer tax credits and other incentives to attract business and jobs.
Conditionally approved after five years of effort by civic leaders, the Antelope Valley enterprise zone will cover more than 40 square miles and include nearly all industrial and most commercial property - vacant or developed - in Palmdale, Lancaster and neighboring unincorporated territory.
