A new and expanded food section is in the works at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and a search for a food writer has been under way since Thanksgiving, with the actual hiring dependent on final approval for the new pages from the executive suite.
It's obvious that the newspaper is looking for someone special. The job posting says: "We want someone who has a passion for--and wide-ranging knowledge of--food and cooking. This journalist should be as comfortable writing about applesauce as zabaglione, about comfort foods and cutting edge cuisines.
