Maybe if they ask nicely, the rest of the NHL teams will unravel what so far has been one big mystery to the Kings:
How to beat the lowly Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Lightning came limping into the Forum to play the Kings on Thursday night. It had the worst record in the NHL, having lost nine of its previous 10 games, had the league's worst power-play and was tired from playing the Anaheim Mighty Ducks the night before.
None of that seemed to matter to the Kings, who were beaten 2-1 before an announced 11,610 fans.
