Syngenta Participations AG (Basel, Switzerland) has patented trichothecene-resistant transgenic plants, plant tissues, plant seeds, and plant cells comprising a heterologous polynucleotide encoding a gene product having tricothecene resistance activity that thereby confers trichothecene resistance to the transgenic plants, plant tissues, plant seeds, and plant cells.
