Women are more skeptical than men about the safety of genetically modified foods, according to the Oxygen/ Markle Pulse. Over half of women (55%) and 48% of men are opposed to genetically modified foods. Women are more likely than men to see genetically modified foods as less healthy than organically grown foods: 44% of women versus 35% of men say so. Almost half of women (47%) believe that genetic changes in crops are best left to nature, compared to 36% of men who say so. Women are about half as likely as men to offer a blanket approval of genetic modification of crops: 11% of women say it's okay to genetically modify crops and produce, compared to 21% of men who say so. ...
