Q) What is involved in a customer service job?
A) Many industries employ customer service representatives to work with customers, either on the phone or in person. They process orders, make changes in customer records, resolve billing and service complaints, refer grievances to be investigated and solicit sales for new or additional products or services.
Industries that often employ customer service reps include utilities (telephone, gas and electric power, cable television), banking, insurance, financial, retail and transportation (airlines, care rental, train service).
