ALTHOUGH this is the upscale version of the Grill, like the one in Beverly Hills, and not the less expensive Daily Grill by the same people, to me it's still the place to order steaks, clam chowder and the like, nothing too complicated.

So on a recent visit to the newest Grill in the Hollywood & Highland shopping and dining center, it was American comfort food for us.

Aged, prime New York steak ($31.75) here is almost as good as the Grill's freshly ground beef steak ($22.75), a large, thick, juicy, formed oval of flavorful meat accompanied by sweet, grilled onions.
