Tyson Foods Inc., which employs more than 1,000 people at its plant in Blountsville, says it pleaded not guilty to all charges in an alleged conspiracy to smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S. to work at its facilities. The world's largest meat processing company says two letters from the federal government, dated May 25, 2000 and Jan. 11, 2002, contradict the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) allegations. The DOJ in December indicted two Tyson executives and four former managers on the charges, filed after a nearly three-year undercover federal investigation.
