Palm branches will be waved this weekend during during joyous Palm Sunday processions that mark the start of Christian Holy Week, the days leading up to Easter.
The Liturgy of the Palms, recalling Jesus' welcome into Jerusalem by crowds waving palm branches, is the traditional Palm Sunday service for many congregations, including St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Studio City.
