Mar. 26--RODEO, Calif.--Safeway is voluntarily recalling 180 pounds of ground beef sold at its 605 Parker store here because of possible E. coli contamination.
A routine random sampling of meat sold at the Rodeo store by the USDA discovered the bacterial contamination, state health officials said Monday. Officials are investigating to determine the source of the bacteria.
Only meat sold at the Rodeo store is subject to the recall, officials said.
Ground beef packaged in white foam trays bearing the sell-by date of March 21 should be returned to the Rodeo ...
