Several regional airports provide options for the corporate aircraft that help sell meeting planners on San Diego.
San Diego County runs eight regional airports, including the airport with the highest overall traffic count - McClellan-Palomar in Carlsbad. The city of San Diego also operates two regional public airports and Oceanside maintains one.
These regional airports have served San Diego County's geographically expanding meetings and conventions industry, a critical sector in the region's $5 billion hospitality industry.
