The American Booksellers Association, representing independent booksellers, has announced finalists for Book Sense Book of the Year Awards.
The winners will be announced May 3 during BookExpo America in New York City. The finalists:
Adult Fiction: "The Corrections" by Jonathan Franzen, "Ella Minnow Pea" by Mark Dunn, "Empire Falls" by Richard Russo, "The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse" by Louise Erdrich and "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger.
Adult Nonfiction: "Ava's Man" by Rick Bragg, "The Botany of Desire: A Plant's Eye View of the World" by Michael Pollan, "Fast Food Nation" by Eric ...
