Mar. 27--ANC Rental Corp. has hit a roadblock in its efforts to combine the operations of its two rental-car companies.
At least two airports have taken steps to prohibit car-rental companies from operating more than one brand at individual concession counters.
The actions by Baltimore-Washington International Airport and Norfolk International Airport throw a wrench into ANC's efforts to cut costs and emerge from bankruptcy by combining the operations of Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental System.
