HALF the members of the Scottish parliament who awarded themselves a [pound]6,000 pay rise are already earning fortunes from private incomes, The Scottish Mail on Sunday can reveal.
MSPs who ignored overwhelming public opposition to vote for the 13.5 per cent increase enjoy extra incomes and assets worth an astonishing [pound]5.4 million.
The revelations will further anger members of the public after polls revealed 99 per cent of Scottish voters believe politicians should not get any more money.
