FLEET Street editors, media commentators and top lawyers rushed to back The Mirror yesterday over the extraordinary Naomi Campbell ruling.

Their verdicts on Mr Justice Morland's decision ranged from "baffled" and "astonishing" to "puzzled" and "amazed" - adding up a sense of utter farce.
