HSUS COMMENDS 20/20 ON PUPPY MILLS SHOW
WASHINGTON, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) today commended ABC's 20/20 for its decision to expose the horrors of puppy mills on its program tomorrow night (Friday, May 11).
Puppy mills are "puppy factories" in which the dogs are bred and brokered as a cash crop. The animals live in wire cages in both freezing and scorching conditions, often standing in their own feces. The females are bred over and over until, unable to produce large litters, they are killed.
