THE death of the Queen Mother - his beloved Granny - is a grievous loss for Prince Charles. She had always been his closest confidante and he, in turn, was her favourite grandchild.
While the Queen has come to regard her oldest son as "emotional" and his views "rather odd", the Queen Mother continued to indulge him.
