Clickers, the era of the talk show wars - I guess you might think of the epoch as TV's equivalent to the "War of the Rosies'' since both Roseanne Barr and Rosie O'Donnell joined the fray over the years - seems to be waning.
Talk show ratings are down across the board - even for "The Oprah Winfrey Show,'' once the unstoppable powerhouse of TV talk.
In Boston, the afternoon newscast on WHDH (Ch. 7) regularly beats "Oprah,'' which airs at 4 p.m. on WCVB (Ch. 5). Before she was toppled, Oprah reigned supreme in the time slot for years.
Seems our appetite for all this chatter is almost sated. Talk show hosts are dropping as fast as the Nielsen ...
