APRIL Fool's Day is sometimes a good time to play a few practical jokes. The custom of designating the first day of April as "April Fool's Day'' is European in origin. Some say it originated where the calendar was changed and one more day was added to the calendar that year.

Others say April Fool's Day came from the Roman festival of the Hilaria celebrated around this time of the year. More questionable is the suggestion that the spring weather can fool people in Europe because of the sudden temperature changes that occur in just a day.
