ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Netopia, Inc. , a market leader in broadband gateways and service delivery software, announced that it has acquired privately-held DoBox, Inc., a leading provider of broadband gateway parental control, content filtering and family firewall software. The acquisition further strengthens Netopia's differentiated technology portfolio that allows carriers and service providers to bring quickly to market an array of profitable, highly sought-after broadband services.
The transaction, structured as an asset purchase, closed on March 29, 2002. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
