KENILWORTH, N.J. -- Schering Laboratories, announced today that CLARINEX(R) (desloratadine), the only nonsedating antihistamine approved for the treatment of indoor and outdoor allergies, will be the "Official Prescription Allergy Medication" sponsor of Major League Baseball (MLB) for the 2002 season and has become the official title sponsor of the MLB in-stadium All-Star Balloting program.

CLARINEX(R) will sponsor in-stadium balloting, which is the first phase of MLB's balloting program. All ballots issued by CLARINEX(R) will feature a sweepstakes offer including a trip for two to All-Star Week 2002.
