Article: KUWAIT: Construction start-up on planned $21.000,000 high-voltage cable links, NEXANS [France].

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY & WATER (MEW) recently awarded a construction contract to France-based NEXANS for the installation of high-voltage cable links. According to the terms of the award, the French company will be responsible for the supply and installation of 132 Kv cables to link various locations.

The 99 km-long networks will include oil field, power and pilot cables linking a number of substations. These are located at Ardiya, Mina Abdullah, Subahan, Fintas, Alo-Rai, Yamouk, Hadiya as well as adjoining zones.
