NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO -- Barclays Global Investors (BGI), the world's largest institutional investment manager, has selected Appia, Javelin Technologies' protocol-based infrastructure, to provide FIX connectivity for BGI's global operations. Appia will initially be rolled out across BGI's European and North American operations.
Previously, BGI had been running Javelin's Coppelia FIX engine at its London headquarters. When BGI made the decision to expand its FIX connectivity on a global basis, they began searching for an enterprise solution.
