Darren Haydar remembers Maine very well. The New Hampshire senior has faced the Black Bears 15 times in his college hockey career, and the final game of his freshman season is the darkest memory of them all.
It was April 3, 1999; the NCAA championship game in Anaheim, Calif. Haydar scored his team's first goal that evening and assisted on the second, which came with 3 1/2 minutes left in regulation and sent the contest into overtime.
