A wild animal is never so dangerous as when injured and cornered. So it is that some left-wingers in Canada's most politically polarized province have reacted, not only with anger but also with threats of violence, to B.C. Liberal initiatives to rescue the province from a decade's worth of socialist governance.
Though such threats represent an anti-democratic attempt to coerce Premier Gordon Campbell into reversing his policies, they appear to be serving only to embolden the Liberals.
