The Intelligent Transportation Society of America, in cooperation' with the U.S. Department of for Transportation, has prepared a wide-ranging blueprint the future of transportation over the next ten years. The Plan outlines measurable goals and sets thematic initiatives while calling for institutional and research activities necessary to achieve wide-ranging transportation goals.
The document, entitled "National Intelligent Transportation Systems Program Plan: A Ten-Year Vision" was unveiled during the annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board, January 14th, 2002 in Washington, D.C.
