TALLAHASSEE, Fla. _ She's been nominated for Tony Awards, Emmys Awards, four Oscars and butted heads with politicians such as Newt Gingrich and Jesse Helms.
Starting in the fall, Jane Alexander, the critically acclaimed actress and former chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts, can add the title of Florida State University Francis Eppes Professor to her impressive resume.
"I'm thrilled about teaching," Alexander said Wednesday from her hotel room in Seattle, where she is rehearsing for a production of Eugene O'Neill's "Mourning Becomes Electra."
