African-Americans are more likely than any other ethnic group to shop department stores for large home furnishings.
By contrast, mass merchants ranked number one across ethnic groups as the top shopping channel for small home furnishings.
These are just some of the findings of HFN's exclusive survey of channel shopping patterns for large and small home products by ethnicity.
While the study shed light on distinct differences in retail channel preferences among ethnic groups -- white Americans shop home/hardware centers twice as much as Hispanic-Americans, for example -- it also revealed commonalities.
