CLEVELAND _ Much has been written about the magic of home openers and the special memories they produce for fathers and sons.
Usually, it's from a fan's perspective. But take it from Ellis Burks _ big-league ballplayers cherish the experience, too.
After hitting a first-inning home run yesterday at Jacobs Field, the Indians designated hitter rounded third base and saw a smiling 7-year-old Christopher Ellis Burks waiting at the plate to greet him.
It's an incentive not even the best sports agent could deliver.
"It's special," said Burks of having his son work as a batboy during the Tribe's 9-5 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
